Nov 21 Vigil to Stop Kinder Morgan Pipeline

Monday November 21st 4:30pm at Victoria City Hall on Douglas Street, and then spreading out and lighting up Douglas Street to illuminate our opposition to the Kinder Morgan tar sands pipeline.

Enlighten Trudeau that Canadians are serious about meeting our Paris climate commitments. Please bring your candles or light, and your musical instruments & voices.

Prime Minister Trudeau is due to announce his decision on the Kinder Morgan tar sands pipeline any day now, and a racist climate denier is moving into the White House. We will send a clear message to Trudeau that the Kinder Morgan pipeline and similar climate crimes won’t happen without a fight. Simultaneous vigils are being held across Canada.

The Victoria Council of Canadians Chapter is helping to organize the Victoria Vigil. These #KMvigils across Canada are supported by: 350.org, Leadnow.ca, Greenpeace Canada, the Council of Canadians, the Canadian Youth Climate Coalition and more.

This vigil will take place on Lekwungen Territory in the midst of the Salish Sea.
